In addition to her cookbook, guides and novel, Judith also has written two books for educators, based on 30 years teaching at all levels from middle school to university. As a freelance writer and editor, she has published numerous articles, essays and short stories, many based on travel in the Pacific Northwest and Four Corners area of the American Southwest. After moving to the Jemez in 1996, Judith became director of the Jemez Springs Public Library. She is credited with transforming it from a motley collection to one of the best small libraries in the state. After retirement in 2008, she has devoted her time to writing and volunteering as (1) a site steward to archaeological sites in New Mexico, and (2) coordinator for the Jemez Valley History website (jemezvalleyhistory.org).
